Photo shoot

After the workshop on monday a fellow student and good friend of mine decided to put our newly learnt skills to test. We booked out a full bowens travel lighting kit and decided to create some interesting photographs of each other. My friend is a dedicated hockey player so i wanted to photograph her with something which symbolises this in the photograph to give it a bit of meaning. In the end we decided to use hockey sticks. I set up the artificial light using an umbrella reflector to bounce the light back onto my subject to light most of her up. I am fairly pleased with the overall images that we produced.

We then decided we wanted to do some more simple but still eye catching portraits. We lowered the lights a bit so the light was focused on lighting up her whole face more apart from just the side.

Overall both the shoots went really well and we were both pleased with the final outcomes. It helped to recap and improve on what we had learnt in the workshop as well as it being quite a good laugh to do.
