Andreas gursky- mass observation

Andreas gurskey is a german visual artist who produces large scale colour photographs which are very distinctive because of there critical look at the effect of capitalism and mass observation.

As you can see from these photographs he likes to take photographs from a high angle just like cctv cameras do, creating a sense of authority in the photographs h takes. His work fits in really well with my dvd presentation because its all to do with observing large groups of people in one area at one specific time.
